We have an upcoming breakfast planned for our Hospitality Management Year Two Students and would love to see as many of you as possible.
Pancake vs Waffle, vote with your taste buds on Thursday, 25th June; available from 7 – 9.30am in Ozone café (adjacent to Technique Restaurant)

Menu Sweet option - Pancake and/or Waffle with yoghurt ice cream, bacon, caramelised banana & maple syrup
OR
Savoury option - Corn beef or vegetarian hash, topped with fried egg with mustard or guacamole

AND Beverage option of your choice: Bottomless coffee (student roasted coffee, our very own blend) Hot chocolate Pot of tea Berry & banana smoothie

Selection of dishes from yesterdays kitchen studio, Focaccia, Ciabata rolls, Shortbreads, Crème Brulee and Cheesecake. Our Year 2 Diploma students are gaining very good practical skills, now the next task is to develop a concept for the restaurant weeks in July and then prototype recipes for this. looking forward to it......

(This is a fundraising for the Food Design Institute's National Diploma in Hospitality Management Students' field trip)

What: "Ice Cream Sammie Shack" 

- Vanilla ice cream sandwiched between  giant chocolate chip cookies or American chocolate brownies, or both.

When: Thursday 19 & Friday 20 March; 11.30am to 1.00pm each day or until sold-out      

Where: Outside Manaaki Building (M-Block)

A great field trip to start the year, the Southern Cross Hotel visit with Kate Elliment and Sarah McDonald as hosts and of course the excellent lunch and coffee roasting/tasting session at Mojo with Jason Moore.

Hands-on learning during our field trip last year, thanks to Kevin and he’s team at Gilberts Fine Food & Lievito Bakery and of course Richard Emerson at Emerson’s Brewery.
